10/100/1000 to 100/1000 OAM Managed Media Converters
The Signamax 10/100/1000 to 100/1000 OAM Managed MediaÂ Converters are equipped with a 10/100/1000BaseT/TX RJ45 portÂ and a fiber interface that supports either 1000Base or 100BaseÂ connections. Multimode and singlemode models share the sameÂ OAM feature set, so that commercial entities who utilize multimodeÂ fiber for their Local Area Networks can get the same advantagesÂ of remote fault detection and testing and controlling unnecessaryÂ dispatches as carriers using singlemode fiber for their Wide-AreaÂ Networks.
These converters are designed to adhere to the IEEE 802.3ahÂ standard for Link Monitoring, Remote Failure Indication, andÂ Remote Loopback capabilities. Provide Local Exchange Carriers,Â Internet Service Providers, and large installations such as airportsÂ with media conversion solutions that can provide device information,Â testing, and integration with standards-based operations systemsÂ in a Fiber to the Premises (FTTP) environment.
