The Signamax 24-port Managed Layer 2+ Ethernet Switch provides non-blocking performance for 24 10/100BaseT/TX copper ports, plus 4 Gigabit Ethernet connections. This option is a flexible and highly reliable edge extension switch capable of twisted-pair expansion for large networks that incorporates modern QoS and Tagged VLAN capabilities, along with, the full SNMP management at a surprisingly low cost. The four Dual Media Gigabit Ethernet ports are capable of using auto-detected SFP modules for fiberoptic switch interconnection at extended distances.

Both ring and star Gigabit backbone network architectures are possible with full automatic failover. Communication with network management systems such as HP OpenView™ via SNMP for enterprise-wide status display, statistical monitoring, and switch control are also included. Enhanced Layer 3 look-ahead routing features and IP Type of Service support make the 24-port Managed Layer 2+ switch an excellent foundation for establishing or adding to an Enterprise network where redundant power is a requirement.
